Saturday night was very fun. Not too many people dressed up, but there were a few out there that looked great!

Plenty of pictures were taken and I'll have to post them when I get the chance. :D

We just did a crosspost in several communities here on Livejournal, trying to promote Detroit Guerrillas... I hope no one lynches us! ;)

Jen and I are going out tonight after work to scope out some places for the next Detroit Guerrilla Queer Bar. I have about three places I'd like to check out for possible venues. All downtown. Hmm... I've got to remember to eat the rest of my sandwich before work... I don't want to go out for drinks on an empty stomach!

between 50 and 75 people showed up at the town pump tavern in downtown detroit for the detroit guerrilla queer bar's first event, appropriately named "the town pump hump".

at first, there was a little confusion as to what was going on and who was who. but as time passed, people started conversing with each other and a fun time was had for all. ultimately, we had achieved our goal - we took the place over and turned the town pump tavern into our own gay bar for the night! pictures from the evening can be seen in the snapshots section.

the staff of the town pump tavern was professional and very polite. they welcomed us with open arms. but, as great as they were and despite the different tactics tried by several attendees, the male bartender just wouldn't take off his shirt!
